Stubborn Abi

Abi has never really taken a bottle or binky since the hospital. This week we have tried to introduce the bottle but she will not have it. She is so stubborn. We went to a lactation specialist, tried different nipples, tried a nipple guard to get her used to something else, and tried a medicine spoon. She's not having any of them. She even started spitting out her medicine and vitamins from the syringe. Does anyone have any tricks? Please help!

With Medicines/vitamins give her a little and blow in her face it forces them to swallow... My kids never wanted to bottle either... :(

I'm dealing with the same problem, when we leave the house and we're out for a while I just feed her in the car. It's not very convenient, but it works for us. Let me know what you try!

I remember those days, Teara. Natalie was especially bad. I bought so many nipples and different bottles! She was like 8 months old before she would even try one. I finally ended up with one shaped like the NUK pacifiers, and that was the ONLY one she would take. Then it was hard to get her off the bottle! You just keep trying. Just don't try when she is really hungry. It just will make her more frustrated. Try juices, water, and formula. Good luck!!! Aunt Debbi
