11 months old

Yep 11 months old already. Can you believe it? She is so much fun! Last night we went to Outback to eat and she just sat next to me on the booth bench practically the whole time. I would just hand her a fry or bread and she was just so content. I tried to get a picture with my phone but it was too dark. She is doing some fun new things so here we go....
She still loves her baths most of the time. She started playing more and splashing. I read her her favorite book and sing songs. She's normally in there for about a half an hour or more. We sing our ABC's and sign them, and 123's. It's kind of her learning time. We both love it.
She's eating a LITTLE more now but she is so extremely picky. She loves cheeze itz, yogurt, honey bunches of oats, gram crackers and chicken noodle soup. That's really about it. She gets it everywhere. I have a hard time with this. I hate getting her clothes dirty.

She's doing better at the sippy but most of it ends up on her. Is it normal that she lets it fall out of her mouth most of the time?
She's got pretty good balance. She loves it when we push her around in this.
She's made a couple of friends at church but mostly stares and points at them when they are grabbing her and trying to play.
She doesn't like it when I put things on her head. She starts to panic. I have to hurry and distract her so I can take cute pictures of her for my mom's blog.
Oh her clothes. They are either too big or too small. Her waist size is in the 3 month clothes and her leg size is in the 9 month clothes so they either fall off of her or are too short. :) She only weighs 14 lbs now.
Oh yes and she is standing. Not crawling. Just standing.
It's fun to see the new things she is learning and doing. This video show's you what a funny personality she has. Next month is the big one. I'm so exited!

Lavender n' Lace

My mom is one of the craftiest creative people I know. She is always coming up with fun cute things for Abi or me. While it is slow at my work I decided to help her get her business started/growing by starting her a blog, getting her a face book and twitter account and business cards. I hope that she does well which I am sure she will. She already has backorders for her boots. They are a huge hit. Here are some of the things we put on her blog which is still under construction.

Help support her business by following her blog and twitter and liking her on Facebook.

Thank you!

10 Months old

My baby is growing up so fast. She is so much fun and is developing quite the sense of humor.
She weighs 13 lbs 9 oz. (so didn't meet her goal but she's just petite.) I met with a different doctor and he says she is doing good. Not to worry.
She's eating more of our food and not liking baby food any more. But the doc says that's okay.
She's getting used to the Johnny jumper Matt's mom got her. She hates it if I'm not right there. That's with everything.
She's lasting longer on her stomach but doesn't crawl yet. She scoots backwards but doesn't go far. Just goes in circles.
She's pointing at everything and points to noses and lips when asked to.
She's learning to wave and signing for "more".
She dances to almost any music that comes on.

She's sleeping through the night this week. :) She goes through fazes.

She jabbers and I just love it. I read somewhere that they think they are really talking so I pretend I know what she's saying.
She loves kids and can't take her eyes off of them if they are around.

She does new things every day that make us think she is the smartest girl in the world. :)
Next month I expect this girl to be crawling. Hopefully I can still get some things done.

Christmas 2011

We started Christmas on Christmas Eve this year sinse we were going to be in Vernal on Christmas.
Take a look at the beauties! Specifically at the gift on the left. This is Matt's creative wrapping because we didn't have enough wrapping paper. It's rope and a blanket. He he! I wrapped the one next to it with the multi colored wrapping. What can I say? We are pretty frugal. :)

This year was extra special since Abi was able to join us. She did really good unwrapping her very first Christmas present.

Matt is really hard to buy for since he "doesn't need anything." So I got him some food food from Spain. Matt went to Spain on his mission. We were able to visit there two years ago and on the very last day we had Cherizo (kind of like pepperoni), monchego cheese (goat cheese) and croutons ( I couldn't find the exact ones so I got sliced baguette bread to bake like croutons). We spent every day there trying to find a certain market that sold it and finally found it on the very last day. We have both craved it ever since. Mmmmm!
I got a belt, shampoo, conditioner and some Big Head hair product.
I also got Matt a grinder and polishing brush for Matt to polish the parts on his newest project bike.
And I got a new office chair! I have been sitting on a folding chair and it was very uncomfortable. This was a great and thoughtful present from Matt.

Later we went to my parents to celebrate. We started with breakfast and then found our stockings.
Abi was so excited about her sock monkey santa! She loved it!
My dad, mom, and Dakota cheesing it with their Christmas stockings.
Cheeese! Cody and Ceryn.
Abi got some cereal puffs, a mesh pacifier that you can put fruit in, and her sock monkey.
Jeremy and Candice.
My mom and Dad got Abi the cutest Halmark interactive bunny and book. You say key words and she talks. The bunny's name was Abigail. :)
This was one of my favorite moments. Dakota got a telescope from Ceryn. He has wanted one of these for a ver, very long time. He was soooo surprised, excited, and happy. It was so cute!
He attacked her saying it was the best present ever. Those are the reaction we all hope for.

My mom made this cute hat and boots for Abi. She wasn't happy but it's soooo cute! She also got super cute boots.
A funny moment. You had to be there. :)
Abi was so tired she fell asleep in the middle of it all.
My mom and dad got quite the loot. They were opening presents FOREVER. Lots of sock. :)

We then drove out to Vernal and Celebrated Christmas with Matt's family.

We got his mom and dad a camera and mic for Skyping with Abi.
Abi helped Stacey open her presents.

And then opened her own. This was another favorite. It's a pot with veggies. It makes boiling noises and plays songs and teaches about veggies and colors. Se loves it.
Emma helped babysit Abi while we went to see a movie. She LOVED Emma.

We had so much fun with Abi this year. I can't wait until next Christmas. Maybe she will know a little more about what all the fuss is about.
