Who knew birthday parties would be so much work! But it was so worth it. We enjoyed the company and Abi got lots of things that she loves!
I had a hard time deciding on a theme but thanks to Pinterest I found a bunch of ideas for a sock monkey theme. I designed the labels and invites and Matt printed them off at his work. :) He also spent many late nights working on the slide show. It meant a lot to me to have one of her first year.
My friend was so nice and let us use her chocolate fountain. It made it a lot of fun! But it was quite the set up and clean up.
Instead of a cake I decided to do cupcakes. Honestly it was because I ran out of time and went over my budget. :)
But we had a great turn out and I love being with my family. I love them all so much!
When it came time to blow out the candles I was rushing to get my camera so my pictures are not the greatest.
I didn't think she would do it it took a lot of pokes but she finally dug in.
She loved it when everyone would clap for her. She ran the crowd.
Here's my birthday girl all dirtied up. Gotta love it!
She got so many wonderful presents....
Thank you all. They have kept her entertained while I try to keep up with work.
Here's the loot. Now I see how we had a whole basement of toys when we were growing up!
Oh yes, and the most beautiful, adorable dress my mom made. She never ceases to amaze me!
Happy birthday baby!
